A significant challenge was the illicit use of a renowned dairy trademark in a local company's name. Our primary objective was to educate local businesses on the impermissibility of using registered trademarks within their company names without appropriate authorization.
Throughout the project, our team advised the client on potential measures to safeguard intellectual property rights, particularly concerning trademark violations. In a related endeavor, Settle took the lead in an IP dispute concerning the unauthorized registration of a domain closely resembling the client’s trademark. Through effective pre-trial negotiations, the infringing party agreed to transfer the domain rights, further solidifying the protection of our client's IP rights in Uzbekistan.
