Jamshid Agzamkhadjaev

Jamshid Agzamhodzhaev, a graduate of Westminster International University in Tashkent (Bachelor’s degree) and Tashkent State University of Law (Master’s degree in International Commercial Law), is a qualified lawyer with experience in various areas of intellectual property law, including in several CIS countries.

His experience covers projects in areas of intellectual property law such as:

Advising a major media corporation on unauthorized broadcasting and copyright infringement issues in Uzbekistan;
Representing major FMCG manufacturers in local Uzbek courts in combating the illicit circulation of counterfeit goods, as well as in the annulment of unfairly registered trademarks;
Interacting with government authorities, including working with customs authorities at the border to suspend the import of illegal goods;
Advising on the legal aspects, of advertising within Uzbekistan;
Advising a major taxi aggregator on the processing of personal data of Uzbek citizens and participating in the development of related documents on personal data protection;
Advising a textile giant on issues of corporate reputation defamation and unfair competition.
Since the establishment of the legal firm SETTLE, Jamshid has been actively involved in various activities aimed at improving Uzbekistan’s intellectual property legislation and is a member of the expert council at the Antimonopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Kamilla Ismatullaeva

Kamilla Ismatullaeva, a graduate of the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent (Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Management), is an experienced intellectual property specialist and Trademark Attorney. 

His experience covers projects in areas of intellectual property law such as:

Her career in IP began at the Uzbekistan office of a Central Asian regional IP firm (Legalmax), where over nearly five years she advanced from office manager to paralegal and later Trademark Attorney. She subsequently expanded her international expertise at PETOŠEVIĆ (2022) and CWB Limited (2023), before joining Settle Law Firm as Head of the Trademark Department.

Her experience spans more than a decade in intellectual property, with a primary focus on trademark prosecution and portfolio management in Uzbekistan and across the CIS region. She advises clients on all aspects of trademark law, including filing and examination, overcoming office actions, and securing registrations. Kamilla has represented clients before the Uzbek Intellectual Property Office, the Board of Appeals under the Ministry of Justice in invalidation and cancellation proceedings, and the Antimonopoly Committee in unfair competition cases.

At Settle, Kamilla leads the Trademark Department, managing complex portfolios and ensuring clients receive strategic, effective, and timely solutions in trademark protection.

Senior Associate

Said, a graduate of Westminster International University (bachelor’s degree and master’s degree), is a lawyer specializing in intellectual property law and corporate law.

He has experience working on projects related to various aspects of IP and corporate law, including:

Representing major FMCG manufacturers before the government authorities of Uzbekistan on combating counterfeit products;
Participating in antitrust committee hearings on unfair competition cases related to trademark infringement;
Advising an international FinTech platform on M&A matters;
Advising a major Chinese automotive company on intellectual property protection issues;
Participating in preparation of documentation related to personal data protection and compliance with regulatory requirements in this area;
Participating in legal proceedings regarding the illegal use of trademarks;
Participating in procedures for the seizure and destruction of counterfeit pharmaceutical products;
Advising a number of local and foreign enterprises on the collection of receivables;
Advising clients on the inclusion of intellectual property objects in the customs register.

Project Manager

Dinara, a graduate of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies with a degree in Philology, is a project manager at SETTLE Law Firm. She then moved to the international company BAT, where she worked in the marketing and HR departments. Following this, Dinara transitioned to the international pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. Since January 2024, she has been part of SETTLE Law Firm.

Dinara began her career at the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. She then moved to the international company BAT, where she worked in the marketing and HR departments. Following this, Dinara transitioned to the international pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. Since January 2024, she has been part of SETTLE Law Firm.

Dinara’s responsibilities include the technical support of projects related to trademark registration, as well as client interaction to enhance work quality and ensure a high level of service. Within the team, Dinara actively supports organizational aspects and participates in the administration of various projects.

Dinara believes that responsiveness and a continuous desire to learn and grow are key qualities of a successful manager. She is interested in football and dancing and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
